Interesting Informatics for Elementary Schools
Initially, it was announced in the application as Seminar on multimedia teaching materials preparation. Beside the preparation of multimedia teaching material, we identify the need to present interesting examples in teaching informatics. It is a reason why we changed the name of the course into Interesting informatics. Topics are: Computer assisted document and multimedia creation – options to demonstrate capabilities of using personal computer for authoring printed and digital content; selection of attractive examples for printed documents (text processing, image editing, graphic authoring) and for multimedia digital content (images, animations, sound, video).
Programming – algorithms and programs – “I know what I want, but how to say to computer to do it”, selection of interesting programming problems for teaching programming structures and techniques – simple computer games.
Computer networks – how and where to go to Internet (“contents” of the Internet, connection options, searching and content sources, using Internet services for communication, potential risks).
