dot 1. Analysis of knowledge status of informatics teaching staff in primary and secondary schools and creation of training methodology

We started work on analysis of knowledge status of informatics teaching staff in primary and secondary schools right after the approval of the project. It was a complex task, which first stage had been based on acquiring data about informatics teachers. It was done by FEEN's professors and Regional School Directory Nis staff. The list of informatic teachers from Regional School Directory Nis can be obtained by sending a request to the project coordinator, Prof. Ivan Milentijevic on email

Data acquiring was followed by analysis with aim to provide a platform for creation of teaching methodology which is the most appropriate for training of informatics teachers in Serbia . Simultaneously, TEI professors and professors from University of Alicante prepared presentations on their experiences in continuous education and selection of training methodology. The final stage in achieving this outcome was the Workshop on Training Methodologies in Continuous Education. The workshop was held at TEI Athens and it was the first mile stone for our project. Conclusions from the Workshop were implemented in training methodology. The main result is adopted training methodology for training of informatics teachers in Serbia . The training methodology scheme can be found here.

dot 2. Center for Continuous Education at FEEN – Sustainability

The sustainability of this project relays on sustainable Center for Continuous Education

Within the frame of the project we established a Center for Continuous Education as a new unit within the frame of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering. Legislative platform is provided through the Statute of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering where the role of the Center is precisely described, and the Center is recognized as a new Faculty unit. The Faculty of Electronic Engineering provided classroom 332 on the third floor (north side) in the central building for the Center. All necessary infrastructure needs were provided by the Faculty. For the sake e-learning, Faculty improved its network infrastructure and provided possibilities for e-testing. Center for Continuous Education is equipped with 21 PCs, 6 working stations and three servers (from Tempus grant) connected into faculty network. Classroom 332 in equiped with modern videoconferencing system. Well selected equipment and retrained instructors are guarantee that the Center is ready to facilitate e-learning, seminars and workshops with practical work.
