The Workshop on training methodologies in continuous education was held on November 23rd 2007 at TEI Athens. The workshop was a check point for the work on:
- analysis of knowledge status of informatics teaching staff in primary and secondary schools in Serbia, and
- analysis of EU experiences in training methodologies
The result of performed analyses was a proposal for the teaching methodology in this project which is adequate for training of informatics teachers in Serbia.
The workshop gathered 30 colleagues from all participating institutions. It was organized in two sessions: "Continuous Education Methodologies", and "Experiences in Continuous Education and E-Learning". The central goal of this workshop was to adopt a teaching method in this project. Initial proposal for teaching methodology was presented by Leonid Stoimenov (FEE) and Dragan Gejo (RSDN). It was based on analysis of knowledge status of informatics teaching staff in primary and secondary schools in Serbia. After the discussion and slight modifications a proposal for teaching method for continuous education of informatics teachers in Serbia is adopted as a teaching method in this project.
The Workshop was followed by a serial of meetings (on November 24th ) between TEI professors and FEEN professors where the central question for discussion was: what courses we should offer to informatics teachers in Serbia to match their real needs.
